Location, Memory and the Visual Research Group

The Research Group concentrates its work on the interrelated themes of visual representation, place and cultural memory. The intention is to open up this rich area and to focus upon how visual representations and practices contribute to the formation and negotiation of cultural memories and places, and how the combination of place and memory is manifested in visual form. The Research Group is a junction for constructive exchange, analysis and creative production, as well as encouraging interaction between subject areas, academic/practice projects and institutional collaboration.
