Discussant: Making Ethnography

Jane Webb is Lecturer (part-time) in BA (Hons) Contemporary Crafts. She studied anthropology at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, specializing in material culture. She has carried out research into a number of areas of design history, specialising in the manufacture of the early nineteenth-century. She is particularly concerned with the challenge that practice can offer to theoretical models and has worked with the DTG (Design Transformation Group) in order to form new ways of writing and making.
