Jeremy Theophilus

Jeremy Theophilus is a partner of A Fine Line, a cultural practice that specializes in international residency programmes, arts consultancy and project management.

After running independent galleries in Wales and East Anglia (including the Minories and University of Essex Gallery) and working as a freelance curator and writer for 15 years, he joined the Arts Council in 1993 where he was Senior Visual Arts Officer, with a responsibility for galleries, museums and crafts.

Jeremy is Chair of Stour Valley Arts, an arts organisation that commissions artists to work in King’s Wood, between Ashford and Canterbury. He is also a Board member of Firstsite in Colchester. He is a Fellow of the RSA and continues to write about the visual arts from his home in Suffolk.
